Mountain Dew Live Wire Review

Introduction
Hello fellow Soda Sippers! Today I'm reviewing Mountain Dew Live Wire, also known as the Mtn Dew Live Wire Orange. I purchased this can at a local grocery store chain in the United States. A quick note on methodology, as with most reviews, I reviewed this drink at ~34°F or ~1° C.
From the Mountain Dew website, "All the great taste and exhilaration of MTN DEW® sparked with orange."
Let's see how it is!
Appearance
A clear bottle with an orange label that says MTN Dew Live Wire. The label has an orange phoenix on the left side and oranges on it.

Characteristics
Aroma: The drink has a very strong orange smell, with sweetness and a little burnt orange.
Taste: The first sip is an orange and citrus flavor and a pleasant sweetness. Subsequent sips tone down the orange and citrus flavor while a slight orange bitterness appears. The aftertaste is a brief orange and citrus with no bitterness.
Mouthfeel: The drink is lightly carbonated with a slightly thick texture.
Analysis
Strengths: The drink has pleasant orange and citrus flavors.
Weaknesses: The drink's main flavor, orange, is weak and fleeting.
Rating
3/5 - Okay Soda: Recommended for fans of the brand, flavor, or concept. This soda has average characteristics overall, one decisive issue, or many small issues.
Review: The drink presents a nice orange flavor, but the flavor is weak. The orange flavor is similar in strength to a seltzer, which is unexpected from a Mountain Dew soda. This drink would benefit from a flavor twice as strong to make it more in line with what is expected from sodas, or more carbonation could be added to make the drink more in line with the carbonation found in seltzers.
